Nedavno je Profightstore prvi objavio vijest da je hrvatski majstor slobodne borbe Damir Mirenić, potpisao ugovor s promotorskom kućom “MMA Manager”.

Mirenića već 19 listopada očekuje prvi izazov pod novi menadžmentom, dvoboj s Gegardom Mousasijem.

Za koga je Damir Mirenić potpisao ugovor?
- Damir je potpisao ugovor sa menadžerskom kućom «MMA Manager».

Što to (u sportskom pogledu) znači za Damira?
- To znači da će iza sebe imati vrlo profesionalni tim koji će ga voditi kroz karijeru, dati mu šansu da pokaže svoje kvalitete i da ga dovede do vrha u ovom sportu.

Je li Damir jedini borac s ovih prostora koji Vas je zainteresirao?
- Imamo u vidu još nekoliko perspektivnih boraca s ovih prostora. Damir je kompletan borac s izgrađenim vještinama i uz to on je 100% posvećen treningu. To je ključ uspjeha i ono što svaki manager zahtjeva od borca.

Tko je Zoran Šarić, čime se bavi, koliko dugo je u USA i kakav je njegov interes u MMA?
- Ja sam vlasnik i predsjednik kompanije «MMA Manager», auto kuće «Autopresident» i kompanije «Landmark International». Iz Zagreba sam 1999. godine preselio u USA i ubrzo se počeo baviti s MMA. Trenirao sam s profesionalnim borcima koje sam ubrzo počeo sponzorirati za mečeve i na kraju bio tražen od istih da im budem manager i vodim im karijeru. Samim time što popularnost MMA brzo raste moj interes za MMA sada je - ‘full time job’.

Što je «MMA Manager», čime se bavi i koja je njegova uloga na američkoj i europskoj MMA sceni?
- «MMA Manager» bavi se mendžerstvom, promoterstvom, sponzorstvom, medijima pa čak i kastingom boraca za snimanje filmova u Hollywoodu. Trenutno imamo 18 boraca od kojih su 8 u UFC-u. Surađujemo s više od 40 organizacija koje rade borbe, počevši od USA i Europe, preko Brazila, sve do Japana. Najnoviji dio našeg tima je organizacija «ULTRA Fighting Championship».

Je li «MMA manager» samo skaut ili samostalno razvija karijeru svojim borcima?
- Mi smo jedinstvena kompanija koja pruža kompletne usluge svojim borcima, počevši od treninga. Mi imamo nekoliko vrhunskih trening centara gdje usavršavamo naše borce, pa sve do snimanja filmova, promocija i reklama koje borci mogu raditi u pauzama između borbi. Uz organiziranje borbi, osiguravamo i sponzorstvo boraca od multinacionalinih kompanija.

Pruža li Vaša tvrtka priliku borcima iz Europe da se bore u najjačoj svjetskoj MMA ligi?
- Naravno da dajemo priliku svim borcima sa značajnim iskustvom i dobrim omjerom pobjeda i poraza. Put do najjače svjetske lige nije lak, potrebno je iza sebe imati puno iskustva i borbi. Potrebno je biti kompletan borac.

Imate li predstavnika odnosno skauta u ovom dijelu Europe. Da li uopće funkcionirate tako?
- Predstavnika za ovaj dio Europe nemamo, ali ga imamo u Rusiji. Do sada smo s europskim borcima radili samo po preporuci. Međutim danas primamo dosta zahtjeva preko portala www.mmamanager.net. a naši su borci uvijek dobro došli.

Recently, Profightstore was the first to announce the news of the Croatian MMA fighter Damir Mirenić ’s signing of a deal with the MMA promotion company “MMA Manager”.

Under the new management, Mirenić is expecting his first challenge on this Friday on Oct 19^th as he faces a tough opponent in Gerard Mousasi.

Many MMA fans in Croatia are interested in how did this cooperation came to be and what it really means for Mirenić.

In the sports aspect, what does this move mean for Damir Mirenić?

It means that he will have a team of professionals backing him and leading him through his career and giving him opportunities to showcase his qualities and hopefully leading him to the top in this sport.

Is Damir the only fighter from this part of the world that you are interested in?

We have a few other perspective fighters in our sights. Damir is a complete fighter with developed skills and besides that, he is 100% devoted to practicing to constantly improve himself. That is the key to the success and that is what every manager requires of his fighter.

Mr Šarić, can you tell us a bit about yourself and what you do.

I am the owner and the president of the “MMA Manager”, car dealership «Autopresident» and «Landmark International» company. I moved from Zagreb to the USA in 1999 and soon got involved in MMA.

I have trained with professional fighters and soon started sponsoring them for matches and ultimately was asked to be their manager and lead their career. With the MMA growing to be a very popular sport, my engagement soon turned into a full time job.

What is “MMA Manager” and what is its role on the US and the European MMA scene?

MMA Manager is centered on management, sponsoring, promotion and media, and even the casting of the fighters for Hollywood movies. Currently we have 18 fighters from which 8 of them are in the UFC. We are cooperating with more than 40 fight organizations from USA and Europe to Brazil, all the way to Japan. The latest addition to our team is the “ULTRA Fighting Championship”organization.

Is MMA Manager only a scout agency or do you independently develop the careers of your fighters?

We are a unique company that is giving complete services to our fighters, starting from trainings. We have a few top of the line training facilities where we lead our fighters to perfection in practice. We are also able to do on site movie shoots, promotions and commercials which the fighters can do in their breaks between fights.

Asides from organizing the fights we also secure the sponsorships for the fighters from international companies.

Does your company grant the opportunity to fighters from Europe to fight in the world’s strongest MMA league?

Of course, we give all fighters with significant experience and a good score a chance to make it to the top. The road to the world’s strongest league is not easy and one must have a lot of experience and fights behind him. One must truly be a complete fighter.

Do you have a representative or a scout in this part of Europe?

We do not have a representative for this part of the Europe at the time, but we do have one in Russia. So far we have worked with the European fighters by recommendation only.

However, today we get a lot of requests through our online portal www.mmamanager.netand the fighters from Croatia and other countries in the area are always welcome.
